Secret Ingredient Chocolate Chunk Cookies

I genuinely love every single recipe I get the opportunity to share with you, but I mean it when I say that these secret ingredient chocolate chunk cookies get extra love from me. I know what you are thinking…. Jessika, what the heck is the secret ingredient? Once I tell you, an entirely new world of cookie recipes is at your finger tips……

The Secret Ingredient

The secret ingredient in these chocolate chunk cookie is instant vanilla pudding mix along with some heavy cream. Why are we putting pudding in a cookie, you might be wondering? Two reasons, texture and flavour baby! Think about pudding for a second, regardless of if you are a pudding fan or not….. its light yet creamy and the perfect consistency…. why not bring that in to a cookie dough? Adding the instant vanilla pudding mix to these cookies makes the dough chewy without making it dense, perfectly balanced with the heavy cream for a texture and flavour like no other cookie you have had before …. I am usually pretty good with words, but I am having a hard time perfectly describing what the vanilla pudding mix really does to these cookies…. I guess you will just have to make some for yourself!!

The Steps

These cookies are just as easy as any others to make. Cream together your butter and sugars before adding the vanilla pudding mix, cream and eggs to the batter. Combine all of your dry ingredients in a separate bowl so that they are thoroughly distributed and then add to your wet mixture and fold in your favourite chocolate chunks. You could really add anything to these cookies at this point! Your favourite candy bar cut up or mini oreos… the options are endless!

You will find the more detailed recipe and the steps below.
