There is one reason I share recipes online; I just want to encourage more people to get in their kitchens and make something delicious with their own two hands. When developing this 24 Days of Christmas Recipe Series, I really wanted to make sure that the recipe were accessible to bakers of all skillsets, everyone from the triple layer cake makers to the boxed cupcake makers, because I am both of you, depending on the day!
I don’t have children yet, but if I did, this is a recipe I would want to make with them. While you aren’t making this cinnamon bun dough from scratch, this is a really easy, fun treat to make that is ready from start to finish in maybe 25 minutes, with very little clean up.
And yes, if you baked it, I consider it homemade, I don’ care about the rest! Lol.
For these cinnamon bun Christmas trees you are going to buy a roll of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, form them into one large ball and then roll them out using a rolling pin. Use your favorite cookie cutters to cut out Christmas trees or stars or whatever you love, bake them for about 8-10 minutes and then ice and decorate. Think sugar cookie decorating party, but with cinnamon buns.
I hope you love this simple, sweet treat!
